What Is Thyroidism?
Thyroidism is a condition where the thyroid gland is not functioning properly. Causes can include overproduction or underproduction of thyroid hormones, age, obesity, hereditary conditions, and tumor. Thyroidism is generally divided into two classifications: hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism. Hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid) is a condition in which your thyroid gland doesn't produce enough of certain crucial hormones. Hypothyroidism may not cause noticeable symptoms in the early stages. Over time, untreated hypothyroidism can cause a number of health problems, such as obesity, joint pain, infertility and heart disease. Hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid) occurs when your thyroid gland produces too much of the hormone thyroxine. Hyperthyroidism can accelerate your body's metabolism, causing unintentional weight loss and a rapid or irregular heartbeat. Doctors use anti-thyroid medications and radioactive iodine to slow the production of thyroid hormones. Sometimes, hyperthyroidism treatment involves surgery to remove all or part of your thyroid gland.
Problem
In 2022, 20 million people have been diagnosed with thyroidism. Women are 5-8 times more likely to develop the issue, but men are also affected by it. The treatment plans given generally involve taking pills for the rest of your life to help balance the hormone or surgery to remove the part of the gland that isn’t working well, however the problem is that even after doing all these things, there is still a 30% recurrence rate of the disease. This leaves people feeling hopeless as they are told there are no other options to cure this disease. Most people who experience this also feel useless as they are unable to work as much to make the money that they need to support their families or they aren’t able to play with their kids or enjoy their relationships because they are just too exhausted. In my opinion, the recurrence rates or inability to eradicate the symptoms with the treatment options given is an indication that they are not getting to the root of the problem.
Fix
The cause of thyroidism of any kind is a personal one that is unique to each person. The hormone imbalance is a symptom of an imbalance of your mind and body. Outcome
A previous client came to me with hyperthyroidism. She had experienced rapid weight loss, swelling of her thyroid gland, extreme fatigue and a few other symptoms. She had originally gone to a natural doctor who put her on what seemed like 100 supplements daily in order to deal with all the symptoms and had her coming into the office once a week to monitor her progress. She followed his program for a few months, but didn’t see a massive change in her symptoms. She came to me and we connected with her biofield, cleared the energetic blockages and found out exactly what food she needed to be eating or not eating, what supplements to remove or keep, what exercises best suited her at this time and what mental issues needed to be addressed. Her biofield revealed that the solution was not just one thing and she now knows what caused the hyperthyroidism and how to avoid those symptoms appearing in her life again.
